The aim of the get to know me question tag is to give your stalkers (that’s you reading this ;)) more information about you so that they can finally stop tailing your car. I’d say start with your house address, but your stalkers already have that information. The get to know me tag is overall just a great reason to sit in front of a camera, computer or phone and chat for a while about yourself. At the moment, this will remain as a blog, but I might decide to vlog later on when I’m not so busy! This is a long one btw everyone!

What is your full name?

Erin May Fisher.

What does your name mean?

Well, Erin is an Irish name meaning Peace, May is a derivative of the Roman Goddess Maia and Fisher means an individual who likes to fish (so, not me).

Are you named after anyone?

Well my middle name was my great grandmothers name, but it’s also the month my Mum was born in. Fun fact: My Mum’s midwife and doctor actually named me Erin because my parents couldn’t decide – that’s why I have Elaina (pronounced Ee-lane-a) and Meyrick (pronounced Meh-rick) as siblings (which are unique af) and I got bland Erin.

Where are you from?

I’m from Victoria, Australia (woooooh), but I have lived on the Gold Coast in Queensland for about 5 years now.

What are your favourite things about yourself?

I can make a mean toasted sandwich.

Which of your parents are you closest to?

I would say my dad because he passed on all his genetics to me (not a good time for me btw), but my mum is the one who got me into reading so gotta say both!

Are your grandparents still married?

My pop passed away a month ago, but up until then they were happily married 🙂

What relative was important to you growing up & why?

100% my brother. He’s 1 year, 1 month and 17 days younger than me, but he’s uber smart so we’re in the same year level at school. We grew up together, have the same social circles, like the same things. Everyone thinks we’re twins (sometimes it’s easier to just say we are), but I wouldn’t know what to do without him. Granted, I’m also close to my older sister (she’s 19), but she works for Disney World in America so I don’t see her much anymore.

What is your biggest fear?

I wouldn’t call it a fear, but I hate being choked. Like, I can’t deal with hands being on my neck or anything because I’ll freak out and think I can’t breathe.

What is your eye color?

They greeeeeen, but under the thick-ass glasses I wear you can barely tell.

What is your favourite childhood memory?

The only one I really vividly remember is when I was 4 and my sister was 6, mother and father bought us a little car. Now, I was a thick baby (still thick now let’s be honest) so only one of us could fit at a time. My sister, being older and more intelligent, knew to get in via the door whereas I, in all my 4 year-old glory, thought the window was the easiest option. So when I saw Elaina trying to get in the car, I was having none of it and shoved my legs through the window. Elaina didn’t really care that I was halfway out of the car and started moving at a high speed around the corridor. I was being dragged behind with my legs still in the window and bashed my head on the corner of a wall. Safe to say my parents weren’t happy to come running in to find me crying with a bloody forehead and my sister still trying to push my legs out the window 🙂

What is your favourite colour?

Orange, and I mean BRIGHT orange. But my favourite colour to wear is red or blue.

What is your favourite ice-cream flavor?

TRIPLE CARAMEL CHUNK FROM BEN & JERRYS YUMMMM.

What is your favourite snack?

Popcorn with mini m&m’s

What is your favourite way to pass time?

Reading obvi.

Are you high maintenance?

Are you more inclined to “build your own empire” or unleash the potential of others?

I mean I’d love to say unleash the potential of others, but could you imagine an empire of books…books everywhere…

Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head-on?

Engage it head on absolutely, Granted, if someone wants to physically fight, that’s not gonna go down so well. But in terms to drama or rumours, I choose to confront whoever is doing/starting it so that it can end. Ain’t got no time for that.

Are you a good cook?

What is good about how you are living your life right now?

I’m sort of looking at things in a more positive way at the moment and trying to better myself without putting anyone/myself down. So like I got 1 A and 5 B’s on my report card, but instead of being annoyed with myself, I went and saw the people I needed to see in order to figure out how I can achieve the A, ya get me?

If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?

Caring too much about my physical appearance >;(

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen in your life?

This old lady dancing naked in her kitchen whilst I was in the car going to a Mexican restaurant.

Who is the first person you call when something exciting happens?

In order: My mum, my dad, my brother and then Ferdy (my above best friend).

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I’m like 16, I don’t even know what love is.

Do you believe in star signs?

Hell to the yes. I’m a Scorpio and there is not one day that goes by that I don’t believe it. I don’t believe everything in my horoscope, but I do read them nearly everyday and compare what I did that day with what it said so.

How many countries have you been to?

America (5 times), Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China, Peru, Brazil and Fiji so 8 countries all up, BUT I’m going to France, Germany and Italy in September with my school so that will be my first time in Europe which is exciting!

What was the last compliment you got?

This random lady complimented my hair which was in braids yesterday at work.

What is in your room?

Well on the walls, I have two big pin boards, One has all my postcards on it (I collect them) as well as my study planner and random little notes and the other one has all my photos on it. I also have a dream catcher on one wall, a mandala painting I did myself and another printed canvas board that says ‘relax’ on it with water as the background. I have a double bed from IKEA that’s got a headboard and drawers underneath it. On my bed I’ve got a blue body pillow (to match the canvas above it), 4 sleeping pillows, a cushion and a giant bear that my friend gave me last Christmas. I have a massive 3 door wardrobe that’s mirrored (I can’t tell you what’s in their because it’s a ridiculous amount of stuff). Across from my bed I have a brown cabinet thing that has four holes horizontally in it that hold my PS3 and all my personal favourite books. On top of that I have a white cabinet that holds all my art stuff and a few brown baskets. On top of that I have my TV. Next to all of that in the corner of my room under my windows, I have my desk (which I’m currently at). On my desk I have a lamp thing, a candle, a mirror, a rose in a vase, a mason jar of stationary, my notebooks and assignments from school, a picture frame with a pic of my siblings and I and my laptop. Across from my wardrobe I have a wheely basket thing that holds all my makeup (it’s a lot) and next to that I have my chest of drawers. On top of my chest of drawers I have my jewellery box (its big, black and beautiful), a little bowl thing that has my earphones and what not in, a picture frame with a pic of my family in it and my sunglasses case. Whew, that was a lot.

What is the last thing you watched?

Just watched ‘The Kissing Booth’ on Netflix which delivered all the feels of my one of my favourite book ships of Elle and Noah. So happy to see more books being made into movies that actually are something like the book, ya know what I mean? Also Jacob Elordi is gorgeous and I’m so happy he was cast as Noah bcos damn.

When do you find yourself procrastinating?

Right now? I have an English paper, Maths B assignment, Economics report and a Biology assessment to do and I’m like you know what’s more important? Inside A Dog and making sure I know how many bobby pins are under my desk.
